RESOLUTION -NO. 1539
OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
DETERMINING THE GENERAL PLAN CONSISTENCY OF A PROPOSED
FIVE-ACRE MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT OPEN
SPACE ACQUISITION IN THE REGNART CANYON AREA.
FINDINGS:
1. The Commission finds that a general plan consistency determination cannot
be made with respect to the subject acquisition because the general plan
is currently under review by the City Council. The Commission further
suggests that the District define the long-term plans so as to enable the
City Council to evaluate the proposed acquisition and coordinate hillside
planning between the City and the District.
2. The Commission requests the District Board to delay action on the proposed
acquisition until final adoption of the hillside general plan or until the
City Council reaches a consensus regarding hillside general plan policy
relative to acquisition of open space.
