OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A a GE IN ZONING CLASSIFICATION
FOR A 0.31 ACRE PARCEL FROM P (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT) TO
np" (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT WITH RESIDENTIAL, 5-10 DWELLING UNITS
PER ACRE INTENT) ZONE.
APPLICANT: City of Cupertino
OWNER: Hugh Jackson
ADDRESS: 22608 San Juan Road
Cupertino, CA. 95014
SUBMITTED: October 9, 1985
LOCATION: East side of Bubb Road, 100 feet north of Elm Court
FINDINGS AND SUBCONCLUSIONS:
Appel .is subject to the findings as set forth on Page 1 and the
subconclusions as set forth in the minutes of the Planning Commission
meeting of October 28, 1985, and hereinafter restated:
- The recommended change of zoning classification to Residential use
is based upon finding that there is a high concentration of school
age children in the site vicinity, and that one nearby business
already possesses a liquor license. The Commission further finds
that the surrounding neighborhood is characterized by an extensive
single family residential land use pattern.
- The Commission finds that they would seriously consider office as a
• less-intensive use alternative under the non-conforming use
provision of the zoning code, and would definitely exclude
commercial activity such as laundr<nnats, restaurants and video
c ,ggette rental outlets.
