JOSEPH 'S SEMINARY SITE FROM SANTA CLARA COUNTY A TO CITY OF CUPERTINO BC (CUABI- PUBLIC BUILDING) ZONE. APPLICANT: El Camino Hospital ADDRESS: 2500 Grant Road , Mountain View, California 94079 SUBMITTED: August 1 , 1995 LOCATION: South side of Highway 280 beginning approximately BOO ft. west of Foothill Boulevard FINDINGS AND SUBCONCLUSIONS: Approval is subject to the findings as set forth on Page 1 and the subconcl usi ons as set forth in the minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of September 25, 1985. CONDITIONS: 1 . Approval is based upon the zoning plat map, labeled Exhibit A of Application 16-Z-95, and the report entitled, "Supplemental Sheet to El Camino Hospital Planning Proposal " , which describes activity levels at the existing St. Joseph 's Seminary site. 2. The St. Joseph 's Seminary and College is permitted to consist of the following components: A. 290,000 sq. ft. of building area. B. 41 +- acres. C. . 16 Floor Area Ratio. D. Maximum of 225 students most of whom live on-site. E. Uses including the following: 1 . Diocese Chancellery 2. Year round retreats and camps. 3. College. 3. Approval is granted to continue the above listed uses at the intensity as identified in the supplemental sheet and traffic report noted above. Significant variations from the above listed activities shall require use -1- Ilk i II iy CITY OF CUPERTINO City Hall, 10300 Torre Avenue Cupertino, California 95014 Telephone: (408) 252-4505 RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING THE GRANTING OF A ZONE CHANGE WHEREAS the attached application has been submitted to the City of Cupertino requesting a change of zone in the zoning regulations of the City, as stated on Page 2; and WHEREAS the Planning Commission has held at least one public hearing in regard to the application on the date as noted on said application; and WHEREAS the Planning Commission has duly considered and heard all evidence submitted in regard to said application; and WHEREAS the necessary public notices have given as required by the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Cupertino: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Planning Commission finds that the proposed zone change: a. Encourages the most appropriate use of land. b. Conserves and stabilizes the value of property. c. Provides for adequate open spaces for light and air. d. Permits adequate control of fires. e. Promotes the health, safety and public welfare. f. Provides for the orderly development of the City. g. Is advantageous to the property and improvements in the zoning district and neighborhood in which the property is located. That said Planning Commission, therefore, reports favorably to the City Council in the matter of granting said zone change. The Director of Planning and Development may approve minor use changes which do not result in increased traffic levels, significant variations from the above list of allowable uses or added building area. Major use changes shall be reviewed in conjunction with use permit approval through the Planning Commission and City Council . The Planning Commission shall have the authority to interpret whether the change represents a significant variation requiring use permit review and approval .
