NOTICE AND CALL FOR A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CUPERTINO FINE ARTS
COMMISSION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special meeting of the Cupertino Fine Arts Commission
is hereby called for Monday, August 26, 2019, commencing at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall
Conference Room C, 10300 Torre Avenue, Cupertino, California 95014. Said special meeting
shall be for the purpose of conducting business on the subject matters listed below under
the heading, “Special Meeting."

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Approval of the Draft Minutes from the March 25, 2019 meeting
Motions:
Commissioner Matley motioned and Commissioner Janki seconded the motion to
approve minutes from March 25, 2019. Motioned approved 5-0.

2. Distinguished and Emerging Artist Applications
Chair Mahalingam motioned and Commissioner Matley second the motion to
select Divya Eby as the Platinum Distinguished Artist Winner. Motioned
approved 5-0.
Chair Mahalingam motioned and Vice Chair Kasamsetty seconded the
motion to select Kaia Tseng as the Gold Distinguished Artist Winner. Motion
approved 5-0.
Chair Mahalingam motioned and Commissioner Matley seconded the motion
to select Alisha Gao as Platinum Emerging Artist Winner. Motioned
approved 5-0.
Commissioner Chokshi motioned and Commissioner Matley seconded the
motion to select John Dorrance as the Gold Emerging Artist Winner.

Motioned approved 5-0.
Vice Chair Kasamsetty motioned and Commissioner Dhami seconded the
motion to select as to Elysha Tsai, Nidhi Moghariya, and Zara Vakath as
Emerging Artist Honorable Mentions. Motion approved 5-0.

ADJOURNMENT
Chair Mahalingam adjourned the meeting at 9:34 p.m. to the regular meeting on July 22,
2019 at City Hall, Conference Room C.
