MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
1. April 10,2019-Chair Vemula motions to approve minutes. Commissioner Tung seconds motion. j
Motion passes unanimously_.
WRITTEN/ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
- Alden Gu addressed Commission with ideas on how to improve their promotional efforts.
OLD BUSINESS
2. City of Cupertino&FLTHSD Communication Bridge
Teen Commission involvement in the FLJHSD Wellness Carnival event were reviewed and
discussed.Roles and time slots were assigned.
3. Teen Commission and Cupertino Library Collaboration
The selection committee for the Ted'event gave an update.

Submission criteria were refined and will continue to be worked on

5. <hack>Cupertino 2019
Commissioners debriefed on the roses and thorns of the event.Improvements for<hack>
Cupertino 2020 were suggested. Staff reminded commissioners on attending the City Council
presentation on May 81 and requested follow-up for the winners.
6. Potential collaborations with Safe Routes to School Program i
Collaboration ideas were discussed in more detail.The Commission requested that the SR2S
coordinator return to share these ideas.

NEW BUSINESS
7. Teen Commission Youth Activity Board and Cupertino Library Collaboration
Nelson Mu,Chair of the Youth Activity Board,attended the Teen Commission to discuss a
possibility to collaborate with the Teen Commission and Cupertino Library to organize a calendar
of facilities which will be open for Cupertino teens to studying during finals season,and to partner
on an event which would open the Quinlan Community Center as a designated study space.Chair
Vemula motions to collaborate with the YAB and the Cupertino Library to host a City-wide
event for youth and teens to study at the Quinlan Community Center.Commissioner Chan
seconds the motion.The motion passes unanimously.
8. Commission Work Prop-ram Procedures
New work program procedures effective for FY 19-20 were explained and reviewed. The
Commission will be working on the Teen Commission Work Program for FY 19-20 at the next
Teen Commission meeting.
