PC Reso 14842 -GPA -75
RESOLUTION NO. 1484
OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
TRANSMITTING A REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL REGARDING
GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 2 -GPA -75 PERTAINING TO A
MODIFICATION OF THE TRAFFIC CONSTRAINT REQUIREMENT
WITHIN VALLCO PARK.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposed general plan
amendment is in conflict with the intent of the general plan in that its
adoption will increase the 1995 peak hour traffic to a point beyond the
road capacity at level of service B -C, and
WHEREAS, the proposed bank use generates a low number of trips during the
Monday -Thursday peak traffic hours, and a relatively high number of trips
during the Friday traffic peak, the Planning Commission finds that an
averaging approach for the five days is reasonable, and
THEREFORE, the Planning Commission recommends denial of the amendment as
presently drafted and recommends instead that an amendment be drafted
that would result in a net zero (0) increase in traffic for all five week-
days assuming an averaging of the peak p.m. Friday traffic.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of December, 1975, at a regular meeting
