December 12,2018—Commissioner Tung motions to approve minutes. Commissioner Shearin seconds motion.Motion passes unanimously_. WRITTEN/ORAL COMMUNICATIONS OLD BUSINESS 1 2. Teen Commission Workshop Proposal Review—Mastering Movie The Teen Commission approved the Mastering iMovie workshop.Due to upcoming Teen Center upgrades,the workshop will occur in late March—early April. 3. Cit o�pertino&FUHSD Communication Bridge There is no update at this time.An update will be given by Chair Vemula and Vice Chair Tan at the January 231 meeting. 4. <hack>Cupertino 2019 Planning continued for<hack>Cupertino 2019. i i NEW BUSINESS f 5. Relationship between the City of Cupertino and the Cupertino Historical Societe The Director of the Cupertino Historical Society,Jennifer Furlong,requested the Teen Commission's support in becoming the officially named archivist and city museum of the City of Cupertino and to work more closely with the Teen Commission on upcoming Cupertino Historical Society projects.The Teen Commission would discuss their decision at the next Commission meeting. 6. If I Were Mayor Contest The Commission continued planning the"If I Were Mayor"Contest. 7. Upcoming City of Cupertino Parks and Recreation System Master Plan The City's Parks Improvement Manager,Gail Seeds,presented to the Teen Commission regarding the status of the City of Cupertino Parks and Recreation System Master Plan project.The Teen Commission agreed to partner and host an upcoming public workshop titled`Youth Civic Engagement Forum'on January 22"d at 6:30pm for Cupertino youth and teens. STAFF&COMMISSION REPORTS a) Staff Liaison Report • Staff Liaison Mestizo reported on the upcoming Teen Center renovations. • Staff Liaison Mestizo reported on the upcoming YAB Kickoff. b) Commissioner Report • Commissioner Tung mentioned a potential partnership with the Public Safety Commission and would follow-up to staff with an email. • Chair Vemula reported on the Mayor's Meeting. MISCELLANEOUS-NO ACTION REQUIRED ADJOURNMENT At 8:47pm the Teen Commission adjourned to a REGULAR MEETING which will be held on January 23, 2019 at 6:00pm at Quinlan Community Center,10185 N.Stelling Rd.Cupertino,CA 95014.
