De Anza Boulevard Cupertino, California 95014 RESOI MON NO. 4018 OF THE PIAMUNG OOrMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERMO RECCMEMING APPROVAL TO REZONE A PARCEL FROM R1-10 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDIMMAL) 'IO R1-6 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDERrIAL) AS DESCRIBED ON EXHIBIT A OF APPLICATION 9-Z-87 SECTION 1• FINDINGS WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Cupertino has received an application for a change of zone or prezoning, as described on Page 2 of this Resolution; and wHEpyA.S, the necessary public notices have been given in accordance with the Procedural Ordinance of the City of Cupertino, and the Planning c mmission has held one or more Public Hearings on the subject application; and wHEREAS, the Planning Camnission furls that the subject change of zone or prezone meets the following requirements: 1) Encourages the most appropriate use of lard 2) Conserves and stabilizes the value of property. 3) Provides for adequate access to light and air. 4) Permits adequate Control of fires. 5) Protects public health, safety and welfare. 6) Promotes the orderly development of the City. 7) Benefits the property and improvements in the zoning district arra neighborhood in which the property is located. 8) Although the subject site's density is below that prescribed by the General Plan, the proposed R1-6 zoning maintains the development character of its neighborhood context. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That after careful consideration of maps, facts, exhibits, testimony and other evidence submitted in this matter, the application for Change of zone or prezone is hereby recommended for approval; and RESOLUTION NO. 4018 (21 TM--87) 12/14/87 PAGE - 2 - 1!! BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the subconclusions upon which the findings and conditions specified in this Resolution are based upon are contained in the Public Hearing record concerning Application 9-Z-87 as set forth in the Minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of December 14, 1987, and are incorporated by reference as though fully set forth herein.
