FINDINGS AND SUBOONCNUUSIONS:
Approval is subject to the findings as set forth on Page 1 and the
suboonclusions as set forth in the minutes of the Planning Crnmdssion
meeting of March 10, 1986.
CONDITIONS:
1-15) STANDARD OONDITIONS
Standard conditions to the extent that they do not conflict with the
special conditions enumerated herein. In the event a conflict does
exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein shall apply.
16) APPROVED EXUBITS
That the recommendation of approval is based m Exhibits A, B, and
Staff Info of Application 6-U-86 except as may oe amended by special
conditions enumerated herein.
17) USE LIMITATIONS
The approved Use Permit authorizes continued operation of the
existing church as a house of worship seeting approximately 180
attendees, with ancillary church - sponsored e.ctivity and incidental
community service functions as provided in Section 128(b) of the BQ
zoning ordinance.
The approved Use Permit also authorizes the addition of
approximately 2100 sq. ft. of floor area to the existing
multipurpose room, installation of a 400 sq. ft. maintenance shed,
and provision of an improved parking lot on the church penises.
IS) PARKING LOr LAYQUr MODIFICATIONS.
The layout of parking stall dimensions and aisleway alignments on
Exhibit A shall be modified to straighten -the easterly driveway
aisle, provide at least 3 ft. of landscap-3 area along the south
property line, and provide a landscape area aijacent to the parking
at the entrance driveway of Jollyman Lane as Bdicated on the Staff
Info. Exhibit prior to seeking grading permit approval. The other
changes on the staff information exhibit are not required.

RESOLUTION OF TIIE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
GRANTING A USE PERMIT
WHEREAS, the Planning; Commission of the City or Cupertino received an
application for a USE PERMIT, as stated on Page 2;.and
WHEREAS, the applicant has met the burden of proof required to support
said application; ant]
WHEREAS, the Planning: Commission finds that the application meets the
following requirements:
a. That the use or uses are in conformance with the General
Plan and Is not detrimental to existing uses or to uses
specifically permitted in the zone in which the proposed
use is to be located.
b. That the property involved is adequate in size and shape to
accomodate the proposed use.
c. That the proposed use is otherwise not detrimental to the
health, safety, pence, morals and general welfare of persons
residing or working in the neighborhood of such proposed
use nor injurious to property and improvements in the
neighborhood.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That after careful considerntion of maps, facts, exhibits and other
evidence submitted in this matter, the application of the USE PERMIT
be, and the same is hereby granted, subject to the conditions stated
on Page 2; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
That the aforemen tinned findings be approved and adopted,.agd that
the Secretary be, and is hereby directed to notify the par -ties affected
by this decision.

19) ARCHITDCIURAL AND SITE REVIEW
03/10/86
Prior to issuance of construction permits for the approved
multipurpose room addition and parking lot surfacing, the applicant
shall submit the following information for informal review by the
Architectural and Site Approval Committee:
a) Materials and color palette for the proposed architectural
addition and the freestanding storage/maintenance shed
b) Detail elevation drawing and material specification for any
trash enclosure to be installed on the site
c) Comprehensive site landscape plan, to include adequate visual
screening of the parking area from adjacent public streets and
from residences on Jollyman lane
d) Parking area lighting fixtures, to include shielding capability
for offsite glare control
20) SECONDARY DRIVEWAY ACCESS
The Planning Commission shall reserve to itself the option to recall
the approved Use Permit for a Public Hearing to review the adequacy
of the single driveway access serving the site. The Commission may
initiate said hearing at the request of the City Council, staff or
the public, and may require church officials to install a secondary
access driveway to the parking lot, or to undertake other measures
appropriate to mitigation of identified traffic circulation safety
concerns.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this loth day of March, 1986, at a regular meeting of
the Planning Commission of the City of Cupertino, State of California, by
the following roll -call vote:
