CITY OF CUPERTINO

Cupertino, California 95014
RESOLUTION NO. 3051 (MINUTE ORDER)
OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
APPROVING A MINOR MODIFICATION TO AN APPROVED
USE PERMIT FOR A NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL BUILDING
FINDINGS:
1) The Planning Commission finds that the proposed addition of a fire
safety parapet extension, as described A-4 and B-8 of Use Permit
5 U-86 is consistent with the approved architectural concept for the
building, in accordance with Resolution 2780. Addition of the
proposed parapet extension is subject to the following condition:
A) Exhibit C-1 of Use Permit 5 U-86 shall be modified to include
additional Canary Island Pine trees on those portions of the
site's westerly and southerly boundaries adjacent to existing
residences to produce a continuous screening effect viewed from
the residential side of the property lines.
At least 2/3 of the aforementioned trees shall be installed
initially as 24" specimens, or equivalent, subject to staff
approval.
2) The Planning Commission finds that the proposed reduction in
110 previously approved frontage landscaping depth, depicted on Exhibit
A-5 is necessary to comply with standard dimensions for compact
parking spaces.
