That the 14 conditions in the rezoning ordinance (115) be reaffirmed by these applicants. That all the standard street improvements and require- ments be met at this time, including corner of Bollinger and Blaney. That the applicants church. Ovmer agrees to farm unused orchard and to keep it well tended until it is other-wise used or the masonry wall is built. 2. Owner agrees to supply written statements from the surr- ounding owners that they do not wish a masonry wall at this time. 3. Owner - Mr. Chuck - to post a bond to build a masonry wall, unit by un~t, to the extent needed to buffer the industry from res~dential uses; wall to be built at the time residences are built. 4. The necessity for bond should be reviewed by the Comm- ~ssion at the expiration of the initial Vega lease (10 years) in the event the property is not completely walled by that time. 5. Sakura Construction Co.: Application to rezone 420' x 914' on south side of Lucille from A-2:B-4 to R-3-H: Yamaoka seeks re- newal of hearing. George Hobbs spoke as agent for the applicant. He presented a plan showing R-3-H to a depth of 230 feet on the south side of Lucille Avenue with a 60 ft. street separating the apartment zone from a slngle tier of R-l use along the south line of the application and the east line of the application. This plot plan had not been previously presented. The application totals 12.7 acres and 19 lots, 5 multiple and 14 single family. Mr. Hobbs stated he anticipates a freeway clearance of 30 feet at Highway 9, which would mean a ramp effect for about 1200 feet. The Assistant City Engineer pointed out that a storm water ditch may encroach on the R-3 area. Moved by Commissioner Swall that the appli0ation be referred to City Manager for discussion; Seconded by Commissioœr Rampy. Application to rezone 52 acres, southwest corner Blaney and Homestead Road; 35 acres - R-3-H; 10 acres - C-I-H; 7 acres - R-1; Second hearing. Continued. Norman Bowker, 766 Crestwood Court, Sunnyvale, spoke In oppoaitior to the application. -3- " Mrs. Claude Giddings stated that the opposite side of the free- way is an ideal spot for multiple within the City, although any agreements with the adjoining municipalities should be observed. John Lomey, 1730 Hammer, Sunnyvale spoke in opposition. In response to a question,by Comm~ssioner Fitch, Mr. Jack Mariani stated he had no objections to any of the regulations of Ordi- nance 144 (Revised) except the requirement that site plans and elevation drawings accompany an application for rezoning or building permit. Moved by Commissioner Eagar that a business lìcense be. issued for the operation of a Christmas tree sales lot on south side of Stevens Creek Blvd. west of Highway 9 adjoining the Safeway Market parking area; Seconded by Commissioner Adamo. November 22 was scheduled as the time for a meeting with the Recreation Committee and Council to discuss recreation plans.
