MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
a) February 22 nd , 2017
Commissioner Vadodkar motion to approve minutes. Commissioner Lau seconded
motion. Motion passed unanimously.

OLD BUSINESS
a) Social Host Ordinance Policy review
The Teen Commission reviewed new information regarding the possibility of
recommending a Social Host Ordinance policy. They discussed potential consequences
for both homeowners and minors who initiate the social gatherings
b) Writing Workshops at Teen Center
The Teen Commission gave their endorsement for the Writing Workshops at the Teen
Center.
c) <hack>Cupertino working session
The Teen Commission continued to work on the hackathon schedule and theme.
NEW BUSINESS
a) Leadership 95014 -Teen Stress Discussion
Gian Marte and Barbara Chang, two community members participating in Cupertino's
Leadership 95014 Program, visited the Teen Commission to get input on what factors
cause teens to get stressed.
b) Library Commission -Cupertino Digital Gateway Project
Gopal Kumar, a Cupertino Library Commissioner, presented the Digital Gateway Project
to Cupertino Teens and requested their assistance in piloting the program. The Teen
Commission will revisit during future meetings.
c) SR2S Competition Judging
Judging for the art competition of the Safety Routes to School program was cancelled.

ADJOURNMENT
At 8:44 pm the Teen Commission adjourned to a SPECIAL MEETING which will be held on
Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 6: 15 pm at the Quinlan Community Center, Conference Room,
10185 North Stelling Road, Cupertino.
