MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
a) February 8th , 2017
Commissioner Vadodkar motion to approve minutes. Commissioner A. Sahni seconded
motion. Motion passed unanimously.
COMMUNICATIONS

OLD BUSINESS
a) 17-18 preparation
Teen Commission began discussing projects they may want to look into for the 2017-
2018 year. The commission expressed a desire to collaborate with Cupertino's Recreation
Department on events and projects which support the Cupertino community.
b) YES Conference details
Staff Liaison Mestizo presented the Teen Commissioners attending the YES Conference
with final details on the day's events and logistics.
c) Hack-a-Thon working session
The Teen Commission Continued working on the logistics of <hack> Cupertino.
Commissioner Vadodkar made a motion to have a special meeting on March 15 th , 2017 to
continue discussing <hack>Cupertino. Commissioner A. Sahni seconded motion. Motion
passed unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
a) Writing Workshops at Teen Center
Ashna Reddy a local teen from Homestead High School requested the Teen Commissions
support of starting writing workshops at the Teen Center. Sessions would include writing
sessions led by local authors.
b) Teen Commission recruitment ideas
Staff Liaison Mestizo requested feedback from the Teen Commission on the recruitment
process.

ADJOURNMENT
At 8:25 pm the Teen Commission adjourned to a REGULAR MEETING which will be held on
Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 6: 15 pm at the Quinlan Community Center, Conference Room,
10185 North Stelling Road, Cupertino.
