MI NUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
a) January 25 th , 2017 -Commissioner Vadodkar motioned to approve minutes.
Commissioner Huang seconds motion . Motions pa sses unanimously.
COMMUNICATIONS

STAFF & COMMISSION REPORTS
a) Chair Reiisieh attended the Mayor 's Meeting on February ist and shared with the
commission that the Cupertino Scene was changing its format.
b) Commissioner Vadodkar reported on his visits to the Technology, Information, and
Communications Commission and the Parks and Recreation Commission .
NEW BUSINESS
a) Marketing roundtable discuss ion -Special Programs Coordinator, Branton Curt, visited
the Teen Commission to work together on methods of marketing their events and
programs
b) Public Safety Commission Presentation: Gun Ordinance and Burglary Forum -Public
Safety Commissioner Jerry Tallinger presented the Teen Commission with an overview of
the Gun Safety Ordinance. A planned Transportation Safety and Burglary Prevention
Forum was also presented and Teen Commission participation was requested.
c) Teen Commission term length discussion - a conversation was had regarding the
possibility of extending the Teen Commission term length
d) 17-18 preparation -Commissioner Vadodkar proposed to move item to February 22 nd
meeting agenda . Commissioner A. Sahni seconds motion . Motion passes
unanimously.
e) YES Conference details -Staff Liaison Mestizo presented the Teen Commission with
waivers for both the YES Conference and City. Instructions given to have waivers present
at the ne xt commission meeting.
OLD BUSINESS
a) Hack-a-Thon working session -Logos, marketing, food, and title for the event were
discussed. Commissioners agreed to have rubric, hackathon rules, and food options
present at the next meeting.

ADJOURNMENT
At 8:41 pm the Teen Commission adjourned to a REGULAR MEmNG which will be held on
Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 6:15 pm at the Quinlan Community Center, Conference Room,
10185 North Stelling Road, Cupertino.
