Stelling Rd, Cupertino, CA 95014 APPROVED MINUTES CALL TO ORDER@ 6:16pm PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE ROLL CALL Commissioners Present: Gundu, Huang, Lau, Reiisieh, A. Sahni, S. Sahni, Vadodkar, Yang Tardy: Rajaram Staff Present: Mestizo MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING a) December 14t h, 2016 -Commissioner Vadodkar motioned to approve minutes. Commissioner A. Sahni seconds motion. Motions passes unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS a) Oral -This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the commission on any matter not on the agenda . Speakers are limited to three (3) minutes a person. In most cases, state law will prohibit the commission from making any decisions with respect to a matter not listed on the agenda. b) Written STAFF & COMMISSION REPORTS a) Chair Reiisieh attended the Mayors Meeting and provided input received from the different City commissions. NEW BUSINESS a) Santa Clara County Health presentation -Suellen Haggarty from Santa Clara County Health visited the Teen Commission to present on the various resources available to teens living within Santa Clara County. b) Giving Tree update -Staff Liaison Mestizo reviewed the organization and execution of the Giving Tree with the Teen Commission. c) Teen Center Open House -Recreation staff requested input from the Teen Commission on the activities and events offered during the open house. OLD BUSINESS a) Teen Dance update -Chair Reiisieh and Vice Chair A. Sahni provided an update regarding the status of a Teen Dance, which is being put on hold until another available date can be selected. b) Hack-a-Thon working session & update -the Teen Commission continued to work on the planning and implementation of the upcoming Hackathon MISCELLANEOUS -NO ACTION REQUIRED ADJOURNMENT At 8:37 pm the Teen Commission adjourned to a REGULAR MEmNG which will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 6:15 pm at the Quinlan Community Center, Conference Room, 10185 North Stelling Road, Cupertino.
