BPC 09-21-2016MINUTES MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BICYCLE PEDESTRIAN COMMISSION September 2l5t, 2016 CUPERTINO The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. ROLL CALL: Present: Pete Heller, Erik Lindskog, Sean Lyn, Vidula Aiyer Absent: Gary Jones Staff: David Stillman (Senior Civil Engineer) Others Present: Gerry Tallinger, Larry Dean, Anastasia, Ann, Two Representatives from Toole Design Group ORAL COMMUNICATIONS • Ann shared the information regarding the Stevens Creek 3-mile Walk event. • Larry mentioned positive support from council candidates from the forum hosted by Cupertino Rotary Club. • Jerry updated the status of Dero Program. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS ORDERS OF THE DAY 1) Staff Report (Stillman) a. The Council has passed the first reading on amendment of municipal code. b. Working with City Attorney on wording of updated ordinance of biking on sidewalks. Sheriff's office should be part of reviewer group. 2) Receive VTA BPAC Report (Jones) a. No Update 3) Received Public Relations Subcommittee Report (Heller) a. Pete m entioned the article in Cupertino Scene. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 4) The Commission approved the August 17, 2016 minutes with question mark removal. OLD BUSINESS 5) Bike Rodeo Prep (All) a. Verbiage presented to staff for consideration. 6) Updates to BPC Items Catalog (Lindskog) a. No updates NEW BUSINESS 7) 2016 Bike Plan Implementation (Stillman) a. Received presentation from Toole Design Group. Presentation to be attached with the published meeting minutes. 8) Items for Future Agendas a.
