MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
a) February 24, 2016 -Commissioner Yang motions to approve minutes. Commissioner
Fung seconds motion. Motion passes unanimously.
COMMUNICATIONS
a) Oral -none

STAFF & COMMISSION REPORTS
a) Staff Liaison Mestizo informed the commission that recruitment has begun for the 2016-
2017 term of the Teen Commission.
b) Commission Chair Chan informed the Teen Commission on visit to Mayor's Meeting.
Mayor Chang discussed Walk One Week and looking into potential improvements.
NEW BUSINESS
a) YAC Attack debrief-the commissioners who attended YAC attack debriefed on the
sessions they attended and shared important information learned on event planning,
open mic nights, and interview skills. New ideas on what other cities are doing were
looked at as potential projects for next year.
b) WOW debrief-the running and organization of Walk One Week were analyzed. Some
improvements that were looked at were: partnering with a club, going back to using
pamphlets as data collection, and having raffles as prizes.
c) Updating bios and photos -Commissioners' photos were taken in order to update Teen
Commission website.
OLD BUSINESS
a) IDEA Event update -speakers and food -details were discussed over the organization of
the IDEA event. The commission decided on speech length, food contacts, marketing,
and more people the commission would contact.

ADJOURNMENT
At 8:08pm the Teen Commission adjourned to a REGULAR MEETING on Wednesday, March 23rd
at 6pm at Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road, Cupertino.
