Stelling Rd, Cupertino, CA 95014 APPROVED MINUTES CALL TO ORDER at 6:06pm PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE ROLL CALL Commissioners Present: Chan, Fung, Gundu, Sahni, and Yang Commissioners Tardy: Jandhyala, Reiisieh Commissioners Absent: Huang, Vadodkar Staff present: Mestizo MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING a) January 13, 2015 -Commissioner Sahni motions to approve minutes. Commissioner Gundu seconds motion. Motion passes unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS a) Oral -Representatives from Homestead High School 1s Key Club and ASB visited the Teen Commission to discuss the Green Week event and requested funding for Green "box11 • b) Written STAFF & COMMISSION REPORTS a) Staff Liaison Mestizo discussed the YES Conference and upcoming presentation to Parks and Recreation Commission. NEW BUSINESS OLD BUSINESS a) Sounds of the City event final update -details and scheduling regarding the Sounds of the City were finalized. Band order and room set-up were discussed. b) Walk One Week discussion -Commissioners Fung and Yang agreed to create a survey for the Walk One Week event to distribute to schools. Commissioners Gundu and Chan agreed to reach out to local businesses for prizing for high school students. c) Teen of the Month update -Commissioner Jandhyala moved to move discussion to next meeting. Commissioner Sahni seconded motion. Motion passes unanimously. d) IDEA Event Speaker Update -Commissioner Reiisieh put forward a nomination for the IDEA speaker event. MISCELLANEOUS -NO ACTION REQUIRED ADJOURNMENT At 8:40 pm the Teen Commission adjourned to a REGULAR MEETING on Wednesday, February 10th at 6 pm at Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road, Cupertino.
