Stelling Rd, Cupertino, CA 95014 APPROVED MINUTES CALL TO ORDER at 6:05pm PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Chan, Fung, Gundu, Huang, Jandhyala, Reiisieh, Sahni, Vadodkar, and Yang Staff present: Mestizo MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING a) December 9, 2015 -Commissioner Jandhyala motions to approve minutes. Commissioner Reiisieh seconds motion. Motion passes unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS a) Oral b) Written STAFF & COMMISSION REPORTS a) Commissioner Chan debriefed the commission on the mayor's meeting that took place on January 5th and the City Council meeting attended on January 12th. NEW BUSINESS a) Presenting at YAC Attack-Staff Liaison Mestizo presented the opportunity for the Teen Commission to present a workshop or presentation at the YAC Attack Conference on March 5th. Commissioners decided not to present. OLD BUSINESS a) Walk One Week working session and update -Chelsea Biklen, from the Safety Routes to School team and Jerry Tallinger, from the Public Safety Commission, led a discussion with the group on data gather, prizes, and funding for the Walk One Week event. b) Sounds of the City update -Helen Ho from the Senior Advisory Council and Kirby Miller from the Rhythmnaires attended the Teen Commission meeting to assist teens with organizing the details of the Sounds of the City event. The teens gave additional updates on food, arrival time, and band details. c) Teen of the Month update -dates for the Cupertino Scene were discussed d) IDEA Event update -commissioners shared their nominations for IDEA speakers. MISCELLANEOUS -NO ACTION REQUIRED ADJOURNMENT At 8:55 pm the Teen Commission adjourned to a REGULAR MEETING on Wednesday, January 27th at 6 pm at Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road, Cupertino.
