She noted traffic problems that cturently exist in Cupertino and cited the number of cars and R V's p:irked in the new development on Roddgues Ave. The proposed development would continue this trend. Mr. Childress responded that he appreciated the concern expressed and noted that the proposed houses were smaller than those cited on Rodrigues Ave. The project provides larger lots with space for RV's on some lots through access to the rear yard, side garages, considerable yard space and :mgle.d driveways. Every effort was made to .bllild an attractive development MVI'ION: Com. Claudy moved to dose the Public Hearing SECOND: Com. Szabo VOTE: Passed 3-0 Consensus reached by the Commission to accept Staff Re.commendation that the street be widened. Corn. Claudy noted that the proposed development was similar to standard Rl development and would externally confonn to Rl requirements; minimal impact to adjacent areas was noted. Chr. Mackenzie felt that the request for a Planned Development designation was justified and rt!asonable. MOTION: Com. Szabo moved the granting of a Negative Declaration. SECOND: Com. Claudy VOTE: Passed 3-0 MOTION: Com. Szabo moved to recommt:nd approval of 5-Z-87 per the Staff Report. SECOND: Corn. Claudy VOTE: Passed 3-0 MOTION: Com. Szabo moved to recommend appronl of l l-TM-87 per the Revised Model Resolution. SECOND: Com.
