MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
A) April 22, 2015—Correct typo in item b) of New Business (add the word"of'�. Correct
typo in item c) of Old Business ("provide"changed to"provided'. Upon correction of
edits, Commissioner Swamy motions to approve minutes. Commissioner.Chan seconds
motion. Motion passes unanimously.
COMMUNICATIONS
a) Oral—Colleen Lettire (City Manager's Office) invited commissioners to attend a public
safety forum on June 3, 2015 at 7:00pm at Community Hall. The theme of the event will
be"Putting Unity in Community". A teen presence at the event is requested..
b) Written
NEW BUSINESS
a) Commissioner contacts in the community:
- Commissioner Smithline provided a report from the Mayor's monthly meeting
on May 6, 2015. .
- Commissioner Prasad gave update on Teen Commission's annual
presentation to City Council on May 5, 2015.
b) I.D.E.A. event debrief—Commissioners discussed the outcome of the event. More
promotion needed for better attendance in the future. The event could potentially be
held in the fall months on opposite years of"Pizza &Politics".
c) 2014/15 Teen Commission survey- Evaluation form was distributed and will be collected
at the May 27 Teen Commission meeting.
d) Group picture— Picture of present commissioners was taken.
e) Tips for success to incoming commissioners—Commissioners brainstormed ideas that will
benefit incoming commissioners for the 2015/16 term. Staff Liaison Jahns will provide
new commissioners with list of ideas in September.
OLD BUSINESS
a) Walk-One-Week: 2015/16 timeline &Public Safety Commission presentation preparation
- Pooja Baxi (Monta Vista High School Green Society) provided update on
reimbursements to schools and status of presentation to the Public Safety Commission.
Presentation was moved to June 11 Public Safety Commission meeting.
b) General Plan Amendment discussion at City Council: May 19, 2015—Commissioners are
encouraged to attend and participate in the discussion.

At 7:39 pm the Teen Commission adjourned to a REGULAR MEETING on Wednesday, May 27,
2015 at 6:30 pm at the Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road, Cupertino.
