MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
A) March 11, 2015 —Commissioner Trivedi motions to approve minutes. Commissioner Chan
seconds motion. Motion passes unanimously

NEW BUSINESS
a) Commissioner contacts in the community
b) Teen Center: Facility tour and program brainstorm—Staff Liaison Jahns provided tour of
facility. Commissioners provided input on program, equipment, and remodeling
opportunities that could be implemented at the Teen Center. Staff Liaison Jahns will
relay the information to Teen Center staff.
c) Teen Commission recruitment outreach —Applications are being accepted through May 8,
2015. Commissioners will spread the word to their peers about recruitment period.
d) Presentation to City'Council: May 5, 2015—Commissioners are tentatively scheduled to
present a work plan update to City Council on May 5. Date will be confirmed once the
agenda for meeting is reviewed.
OLD BUSINESS
a) Walk-One-Week: Data collection update—Some school representatives have expressed
that data collection this year is quite cumbersome. Commissioners will work more closely
with school administration during planning stages so that the designated week of the
event does not interfere with other school functions. Commissioners will present data
and recommendations at the Public Safety Commission on May 14th.
b) Sounds of the City: Dress rehearsal, agenda, marketing — Dress rehearsal is scheduled
for April 7 at the Cupertino Senior Center. Senior Center staff created a marketing flyer, -
which was provided to Teen Commissioners to share with family and friends.
c) TED Talks Forum: Speakers and agenda-Commissioner Murphy provided update on
status of utilizing Apple's auditorium space. If unable to use Apple, Cupertino
Community Hall will be used as the venue. Commissioner Murphy provided a list of
confirmed speakers. Timing of event was discussed. Commissioner Sriraman motions for
the event to take place on April 25, 2015 from 2:OOpm — S:OOpm. Commissioner Fung
seconds motion. Motion passes unanimously.

At 9:07 pm the Teen Commission adjourned to a REGULAR MEETING on Wednesday, April 8,
2015 at 6:30 pm at the Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road, Cupertino.
