PRC 020515 Stevens Creek CorridorDear Cupertino City Councilmembers and Parks & Recreation Commissioners, Thank you for your thoughtful and insightful deliberations during the Stevens Creek Corridor study session on February 3. I was very impressed with the way in which the Council listened to each speaker and asked questions for clarification. Thank you for listening to people in our community, for sharing my values and for directing Cupertino in a way that protects our gem – the Stevens Creek Corridor- from overdevelopment. I hope you continue to focus on enhancing nature along the creek. I had not been thinking about the citywide design of parks and was very interested when that idea was presented and impressed that you folded that idea into your deliberations. I like the goal of all of Cupertino having parks and recreational opportunities similar to those I have near my home. I look forward to the Citywide Parks Master Plan for providing additional recreation opportunities as well as nature play and native plant gardens in our city. Sincerely, Connie Cunningham 1119 Milky Way Cupertino, CA 30-year resident of Cupertino Former student of De Anza College Member of Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society Retired NASA Procurement Officer Western Bluebird
