MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
a) January 8, 2014 Commissioner Sriraman motions to approve minutes. Commissioner Buvanesh
seconds. Motion passes unanimously.

- Bag Design Project — information received from Environmental Programs
- Thank You Letter Correspondence from West Valley Community Services
NEW BUSINESS
a) Community Garden Project
- Would like a tour /be able to ask questions, Feb 1s' in the afternoon, 3
commissioners
- Interested in what plants are good right now, good bonding experience for
commission
b) City Social event development
- Commissioner social, teambuilding /charades /snacks
- RSVP sign -up, meeting schedule for commissioners to be able to go speak to
- Thinking end of April / Beginning of May
c) Report World Record /Art Project Research
- Consider how to get people together convincing them to attend, limiting to a
feasible number of people
- Art: contact Fine Art Commission to find out about events coming up
- Use art project as incentive for something, environmentally friendly, possible
connect to Walk One Week
d) Teen Center Open House Debrief
Commission felt it was a successful event, they and the staff had good
interactions with participants and people walking through
Ideas for next time: more things to promote when walking in, have staff member
up the ramp or by the Sports Center stairs to promote
Promote at Memorial Park events, or ocher city events
e) Share Teen Center Olympics Plan
Viewing parry at Teen Center for Opening Ceremonies
- Have tournament days during Winter Feb. Break, with Chart of Top winners in
activities which are set by staff, give away prizes
