MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING
a) Regular meeting, November 28, 2012
Commissioner P metier motions to approve minutes. Commissioner Clan
seconds, Motion passes unanimously.
COMMUNICATIONS
a oral- Meagan from the Cupertino Library shared information with commission
regarding the Silicon Valley Reads Contest, Invisible Wounds of War. Essays
due by March 1 , 2013, .fin event with author on February 1, 2013'.

NEW BUSINESS
a Director's Message- commissioners were thanked for their work on the Giving
Tree project thus far. EEC survey results have been shared with architect. Mr.
Orrin Mahoney is upertino's new Mayor, Mr. Gilbert Wong as Vice Mayor.
Study session for new civic center plans which may include a new teen
recreation space held on December 18, 2012. Annual-Project Cornerstone
Breakfast will be held on March 2, 2013 at the San ,dose Convention Center.
b ) CPRS Teen Academy Presentation discussion- Commissioners reviewed
outline for presentation, Mork assignments to be delegated in the ne w gear..
OLD BUSINESS
a Work plan updates
a. Event with Senior Center participants, Justin Cecil, Senior Center
Recreation Coordinator along with two guests of the Senior Center
activity committee partook in discussion between two event concepts.
Tentative "Tea Party" them d evert for March 18, 2013 or during April
school recess,
b. Tutoring program- Letter draft circulated to commissioners in
preparation for deliver to Lincoln Elementary in the new year.

represent the core values; .tamwrk, leadership, and- communication.
Projected start date, February 25, 2013.

MISCELLANEOUS—NO ACTION REQUIRED
a YTS High School Student Scholarship- high school juniors and seniors are
invited to apply -for a recreation based scholarship.
ADJOURNMENT
At 7:17 pry the Teen Commission adjourned to a REGULAR ULAI MEETING on
Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at :15 pry at Quinlan Community Center, Conference
Room, , 10185 Forth stalling Road, Cupertino.
