APPROVAL OF MINUTES 2) The Commission approved the April 18, 2012 minutes as written 4-0. Commissioner Fantozzi was absent for this item. NEW BUSINESS 3) New Bike Routes: Commissioner Chan brought up the absence of bike routes connecting the Blackberry Farm path/bridge between Scenic Circle and San Fernando Avenue. This path was intended for school commute use. Since the city only maps official bike routes for the Suggested Routes to Schools, it is necessary to add bike routes to complete a full route to school. This request was brought to staff before, but has not been acted upon. Mr. Stillman will investigate. OLD BUSINESS 4) Pedestrian Transportation Guidelines: Mr. Stillman has received three chapters to date. The remaining chapters should be sent to him prior to the next meeting. The Commission asked Mr. Stillman for information on the Main Street site and pedestrian connectivity with the Rose Bowl site. 5) Bike to Work Day Wrap-up: Commissioner Chan reported that there were 241 riders counted passing the energizer station. Rider traffic was low at the second station across the street, but the Commission will try it again next year as long as the property owner is still willing. Many riders were unaware of the second station and still crossed the street to the Quinlan tables. Most visitors were disappointed we did not have food. We will need a budget to purchase food next year. 6) Hotlist: The Hotlist was reviewed and updated. Many of the rough pavement items should be covered by the city-wide pavement projects. There will be a new bike control for the Torre/Vista @ Stevens Creek intersection for riders going southbound.
