Present: Commissioners William Chan, Mark Fantozzi, Alan Takahashi, Jill Mitsch
Absent: Commissioner Ashish Kolli

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Commissioner Takahashi has not heard back from Earth Day organizers or Parks and Recreation
regarding bike event in 2013.

ORDERS OF THE DAY

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1) The Commission unanimously approved the January 15, 2012 minutes (with edits) and
the February 15, 2012 minutes as written.
NEW BUSINESS
2) Election of Cupertino's VTA BPAC Representative:
Commissioner Takahashi motioned to recommend that City Council reappoint James Wiant
to the Santa Clara County Valley Transportation Authority Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory
Committee for a two-year term beginning July 1, 2012. The motion was seconded by
Commissioner Fantozzi. All in favor.
OLD BUSINESS
Pedestrian Transportation Guideline:
3) Action Item: Commissioner Chan to email Mr. Stillman in regards to what planning
projects look like from a pedestrian standpoint.
4) Action Item: Pedestrian Plan first draft to be done by May meeting.
BIKE TO WORK DAY
5) Bike to Work Day is May 10. Commissioner Chan to confirm availability of energizer
station across the street from current energizer station manned by BPAC. If there are two
stations, Commissioner Chan to ask for more volunteers to fully staff both sides as well
as another table.
