OLD BUSINESS 1. Budget Discussion ACTION: Y VOTE: Y Motion: Riddell Seconded: Daruwalla 5 to 0 NOTES: The commissioners talked about the proposed budget and decided to forward the proposal to City Council. 2. Community Survey ACTION: N ~ VOTE: N NOTES: The commissioners decided to stay with the developed survey. 3. Aligning with City Council Work plan ACTION: N VOTE: N NOTES: This item was continued to a future meeting. NEW BUSINESS 4. Planning the Health and Safety Fair ACTION: N VOTE: N NOTES: N REPORTS Santa Clara County Fire District NOTES: Battalion Chief Kendall Pearson reviewed the Santa Clara County Fire District report and indicated that everything was on target and that there weren't any abnormalities in the report. Battalion Chief Pearson also talked about the visiting Firefighters from France, their use of GIS, and their 16'n century buildings. Battalion Chief Pearson also reported that Captain Carey from the Seven Springs Fire Station was admitted to ICU in critical condition. He also informed the commissioners that new equipment would be obtained in anticipation of the upcoming fire season in relation to brush fires as well as structural fires. Battalion Chief Pearson reported that Chief John Ellis has taken over for Chief Waddell who has retired and that Dan Dunlap who will be retiring on April 19, will be temporarily replaced by Rich Salazar. Battalion Chief Pearson also indicated that staffing levels were status quo as far as the Central Fire District. Battalion Chief Pearson also talked about the automatic aid and mutual aid agreements between the Santa Clara County Fire District and other cities.
