1. Discussion of Completed Community Survey

NOTES: The Commissioners talked about an email from Rick Kitson, Public Information Officer,
which indicated that the implementation of the survey on the web would be at no cost. Assistant
Director, Glenn Goepfert will obtain the Council goals and inquire for more information from Mr.
Kitson. The commissioners would like to see the survey distributed in April.

Santa Clara County Fire District
NOTES: Battalion Chief Kendall Pearson from the Santa Clara County Fire Department discussed the
following:
• The fire stats for 2006.
• December 12th fire at Northpoint Apartments, North of Saratoga Avenue.
• Fire pit @ Linda Vista Park.
•"Every 15 Minutes" program in high schools.

NOTES: Captain Terry Calderone from the Santa Clara County Sheriff's department talked about the
following:
• A Code Red drill took place at a local high school in which in different agencies were involved,
including the Fire department. The drill involved an active shooter, a standoff, and a police
shooting and it went well.
• The sheriff department application for an OTS Mini Grant for traffic/DUI enforcement.
• An increase in red light violations.
