New Book Area The Foundation had given us an opportunity to propose new projects in programming or operation improvement. We have decided to take this opportunity to look at ways to improve our New Book azea. This is a highlighted area of the library that has become quite congested sometimes. The Adult Services Librarians and Circulation staff are working together. As of now, we have moved the Friends' Best Seller collection to the low shelves by the window and the new fiction to the magazine walls by the Self Check machines. Our ultimate goal is to add reading tables and identify the use of this area more clearly with new collection and furniture arrangements. We don't plan to make any significant building changes. We may replace some of our shelves with multi-functional units that better display our collection. Respectfully submitted by: Ja-Lih Lee, Cupertino Community Librarian
