IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
November minutes approved as submitted.
V. REPORT FROM THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE:
Captain Wilson distributed burglary statistics for the month of October and the partial month of
November. The types of burglaries include residential, commercial, school, and vehicle. The Captain
also distributed and discussed bar graphs that illustrate traffic accident patterns and city maps that
illustrate locations of major crimes for the city.
The Captain advised that there has recently been a rash of vehicle burglaries. This apparently is common
throughout other local cities in which Cupertino is average in occurrence.
Captain Wilson gave an update on injured Deputy Paul Graham. Deputy Graham is scheduled to be
released at the end of November and will continue to recover at home.
VI. REPORT FROM CENTRAL FIRE:
Chief Sporleder distributed fire statistics for the month of October.
The chief commented on the recent rain and wind storm we experienced. Most of the calls for service
were for down wires and trees. No major incidents were reported.
Beginning in January of 1996, the Monta Vista Fire Station will house a fireman trained as a paramedic
to respond to call on an engine. The Chief advised that this will increase the level of service to the
community by cutting down the response time for already existing paramedic services. This service will
be offered with no additional cost to the community.
