CALL TO ORDER
ROLL CALL
Commissioners Present: Busch, Deora, Fang, Gatley, Golkar, Kolev, Noone, Zen
Commissioners Absent: Colloton, Lin, Liu
Staff Present: Hanel, Smith, Christian
COMMUNICATIONS
a) Oral- Gentleman attending the Building the Community Meeting spoke with Drew Golkar
and wanted him to share with the commission that he feels that the teens in the Kennedy
Middle School area do not feel safe. He also mentioned that the teen commission
meetings should be televised and students should elect the commission. Motion made by
Golkar and seconded by Kolev to put televising commission meetings on future agenda.
Motion passed.
b) Written- Sherman Wang- Student ~it Monta Vista High School emailed the commission
asking about Cupertino's recycling program.
Tony Norton- Representative from the Teenage Health Hotline. Wanted the commission
to know about the services they provide. Motion made by Kolev and seconded by Golkar
to put the Teenage Health Hotline on a future agenda for further discussion. Motion
passed.
NEW BUSINESS
a) Library Project- presentation Terry Green, City of Cuper[ino, Senior Architect.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
a) Job Faire Evaluation- Motion made by Golkar and seconded by Fang to move Job
Faire evaluation to next meeting. Motion passed.
b) "We Value Youth" Update- update by Drew Golkar
c) BBQ- Motion made by Kolev and seconded by Golkar to cancel the BBQ. Motion failed.
Motion made by Fang and seconded by Deora to cancel BBQ, but recommend the idea
to the next commission. Motion passed.
d) Website- Motion made by Kolev and seconded by Fang to move website discussion to
next meeting. Motion passed.
MISCELLANEOUS--NO ACTION REQUIRED
a) Staff Report- none

Meeting adjourned at 6:35 pm to the meeting of May 16, at 5:00pm at the Senior Center.
