Dear Mr. and Mrs . Wong:
At your request, we have performed a site reconnaissance an July
• 2, 1992 in order to provide a remediation recommendations for
the planter box and masonary wall on the western property line.
During our. sits reconnaissance, we only observed the approximate
17 feet planter box and 25 feet long , southern part of the
masonry wall. The soil adjacent to the planter box and footing
of the masonary wall was removed during the grading of the
building pad. In order to provide 's passive resistance on the
east aide of 'the box and wall footing, we recommended that a key
should be constructed under the footing. The detail of the key
is presented in the attached Figure 1 and the structural
calculations is presented in page 1 .
