The series of progr~m~ in January for parents of schoolage
children were well received by those who attended. We had 3 to 12 attendees
per session. This first series was conceived in answer to a request from some
home school parents. Teachers would now like us to present it for the PTA's,
and Children's Program Librarian Pamela Moore will use it as the basis for our
Back to School night program next fall.

The recent Friends Book Sale was the most successful to date, raising
$7,153.00. A great job was done by the many Friends volunteers who helped
out! Also having a photograph of Curt Woodruff sorting books for the sale on
the cover of the Cupertino Scene seems to have helped raise awareness and
interest as well, and the Friends were very happy with the publicity.
