All of the spinner paperback racks in the general paperback browsing area on the
mezzanine have been replaced by A-frame racks. Now all of the paperbacks, as well as
compact discs and cassettes, are on A-frame racks. We have gotten quite a few positive
comments from library users, who say that titles are easier to find now in this area. There
are still some spinner racks in the Teen paperback area on the mezzanine, and in the
feature video area on the main floor. We are trying to replace them as we can and where
there is enough room to fit A-frame racks.
In addition to its regular intemet classes for adults, the library will offer upcoming
Intermediate Internet Classes on several subjects: College on Saturday, October 28,
2000, Travel on Saturday, January 13, 2001, Business on Saturday, March 10, 2001,
and Health on Saturday, May 12, 2001. Flyers for this series of programs are available
in the library.
Cupertino Library Foundation is again distributing bookmarks this fall informing
individuals who contribute to United Way that they may designate the non-profit
Cupertino Library Foundation as the recipient of their contribution. These bookmarks
are being given out at the circulation desk.
Next Friends of the Cupertino Library Book Sale will be held this coming
Saturday, October 21st and Sunday, October 22nd. Flyers are available in the library.
The Friends Book Sale This Weekend banners are displayed outside both entrances of
the library. Bookmarks with the Friends Book Sale dates for 2001 are also available in
the library.
Saturday, October 28th should prove to be even busier than usual at the library. In

funded by the Friends of the Cupertino Library. Flyers for both of these programs are
