7. Director Dowling expressed his appreciation to Commissioner Throne for the past four years he has
served on the Parks and Recreation Commission. The Commission established January 20 as the date
of their Commission social.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
8. Commissioner Throne moved and Commissioner Hopkins seconded a motion to approve the minutes
of the December 2, 1993 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. (Hendrickson abstained) Motion
passed.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
9. An informational letter from Mayor Koppel to City of Mountain View's Mayor Bonnel regarding the
City's position on Deer Hollow Farm was included in the Commissioner's packet.
MONTHLY REPORTS
10. Director thanked the Optimists Club for their participation in the Breakfast with Santa, at the Quinlan
CommHnity Cgllter. HO also reported that the Tree Lighting Ceremony was very well received. There was
a lot of community sponsorships for that event and it was well attended by the community.
11. There were no community contacts.
MISCELLANEOUS
12. There were no legislative updates.
13. There was no Mayor's Luncheon.
14. Director stated that the regular Commission meeting on February 3 would need to bo moved to Februar
10, due to the CPRS Conference in Anaheim. He also stated that it was very likely that the Commission
would need to get together again in January to discuss the Cupertino Sports Center.
ADJOURNMENT
15. Commissioner Throne moved and Commissioner Quinlan seconded the motion to adjourn at 7:20 p.m. to
the adjourned regular meeting of Parks and Recreation Commission on January 27, 1994, 7:00 p.m.,
Council Chambers.
