7. Mavis Smith Deer Hollow Farm docent and Mimi Mourkas, Docent and President of Friends of Deer
Hollow Farm made a presentation to commission regarding Deer Hollow Farm. They showed a video
of Deer Hollow Farm titled "Lessons of the Land" and then they took questions form commission.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
8. Commissioner Lohmiller moved and Commissioner Hopkins seconded a motion to approve the minutes
of the November 3, 1994 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. All in favor. Motion approved.
Commissioner Buhler moved and Commissioner Hopkins seconded a motion to approve the minutes of
the November 28, 1994 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. All in favor with Commissioner
Quinlan abstaining. Motion approved.
10. Commissioner Quinlan moved and Commissioner Lohmiller seconded a motion to approve the minutes
of the December 1, 1994 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. All in favor. Motion approved.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
12. Commission reviewed a letter received from Stephen M. Stearns, California Interscholastic Federation
to Don McCarthy, Recreation Supervisor, thanking staff for their help and cooperation during the 1994
Central Coast Section/CIF/Toyota Girls Team Tennis Championships. The boys tournament in the
Spring will be held at the Sports Center and next year both tournaments will rotate to another city.

13. Director had nothing to add to the December monthly report.
14. There were no community contacts.
MISCELLANEOUS
15. There was no legislative update.
16. There was no Mayor's luncheon, however it was reported the format may change to a breakfast
meeting.
17. Director reported that the ropes course applicant requested removal of the item from the city council
agenda because another site is being identified. Director also reviewed the conflict of interest
guidelines and policies for Commissioners.
ADJOURNMENT
18. Commissioner Quinlan moved and Commissioner Hopkins seconded the motion to adjourn at 8:00 p.m.
to the regularly scheduled meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission on Thursday, February 2
1995, 7:00 p.m. Council Chambers. All in favor. Motion carried.
