OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO APPROVING
A FACADE RENOVATION AT AN EXISTING SHOPPING CENTER
SECTION I: PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Application No.: 11-ASA-97
Applicant: Wald, Ruhnke & Dost, Architects (McWhorters)
Property Owner: Mardesich Co.
Location: 20558 Stevens Creek Blvd.
SECTION II: FINDINGS
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Cupertino received an application to approve a
facade renovation as described in this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the changes are beneficial and compatible with the
surrounding area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That after careful consideration of maps, facts, exhibits, testimony and other evidence submitted in this
matter, the building modifications described above are hereby approved subject to the conditions which
are enumerated in this Resolution; and
That the subconclusions upon which the findings and conditions specified in this resolution are based
and contained in the public hearing record concerning Application 11-ASA-97 set forth in the Minutes
of the Planning Commission Meeting of January 12, 1998, and are incorporated by reference as though
fully set forth herein.

SECTION IIl: CONDITIONS ADMIN15TEkED BY THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPT.
1. APPROVED EXHIBITS
The recommendation of approval is based on the exhibits labeled Sheets A0.1, A1.0, C, A2.0, and
the color/material board, except that the signs are not deemed approved.
2. TILE ACCENT BAND
A ceramic tile accent band (Harvard Square #350) will be provided at the transition between the
base and main building colors.
3. LIGHTING
Lighting shall be provided as shown in Exhibit B. In addition, Type A lighting shall be provided
in the passageway on the east side of the building.
4. LANDSCAPING
The planters shown on Sheet C are considered part of the approved plans. The specific plants are
subject to staff approval.
5. SECURITY
'The sheriff shall review the site plan to determine if any additional security measures are needed,
and any recommended measures shall be implemented by staff, prior to issuance of a building
permit.

Commission of the City of Cupertino, State of California, by the following roll call vote:
