RESOLUTION NO. 4868 (Minute Order)
OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING THAT
THE CITY COUNCIL CONSIDER OTHER ACTIONS TO STRENGTHEN AND REVITALIZE
THE CITY'S RETAIL COMMERCIAL BASE
In the context of its review of general plan amendment, file no. 5-GPA-97, the Planning Commission
recommended unanimously that the City Council consider taking the following additional actions to
strengthen and revitalize the City's retail commercial base:
1) The City should, through the Economic Development Committee, continue to work proactively to
revitalize the Vallco Fashion Mall,
2) The City should, through the Economic Development Committee, work proactively to attract
smaller, successful retailers to Cupertino, and
3) The City should encourage the consolidation of parcels of land for retail redevelopment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of September, 1997, at a Regular Meeting of the Planning
Commission of the City of Cupertino, State of California, by the following roll call vote:
