Reso 4842 4-ASA-97 CITY OF CUPERTINO 10300 Torre Avenue Cupertino, California 95014 RESOLUTION NO. 4842 OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO APPROVING A BUILDING ELEVATION, LANDSCAPE PLANS AND AMENITY SPACE SQUARE FOOTAGE FOR AN APPROVED 304,100 SQUARE FOOT OFFICE BUILDING AND ANCILLARY IMPROVEMENTS ON AN EXISTING OFFICE-CAMPUS SITE AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF HOMESTEAD ROAD AND TANTAU AVENUE SECTION I: PROJECT DESCRIPTION Application No.: 4-ASA-97 Applicant: Hewlett-Packard Company Property Owner: Hewlett-Packard Company Location: Southwest corner of Homestead Road and Tantau Avenue SECTION II: FINDINGS WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Cupertino received an application for Architectural and Site Approval, as described in this Resolution; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the application: 1) Exceeds the minimum landscape standards stated in the City's Parking Ordinance; 2) Provides satisfactory landscape screening of the building from the streets; 3) Provides satisfactory building articulation and detailing to avoid a monotonous building appearance; and 4) Proposes amenity space square footage that complies with the City's Amenity Space Policy NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That after careful consideration of maps, facts, e�ibits, testimony and �ther evidence submitted in this matter, the application for Architectural and Site Approval, is hereby approved and That the subconclusions upon which the findings and conditions specified in this Resolution are based and contained in the public hearing record concerning Application 4-ASA-97 as set forth in the Minutes of Planning Commission Meeting of June 9, 1997, and are incorporated by reference herein. Aunroved Exhibits The recommendation of approval is based on Exhibits titled, "Hewlett-Packard Building 45 Cupertino, California" consisting of 13 pages labeled 0, L1.0, L-4.1, L-4.2, L-4.3, L-4.4, L-7.0, A5.0, A5.00, A5.01, A5.1, A5.2, and A5.3 dated 5/19/97. This approval reconfirms that the approved Homestead Road driveway alignment is Option B as shown on sheet no. A1.O.CP. 2. Amenitv Space Approvals The following building spaces within and connected to the Hewlett-Packard Building 45 project were determined to comply with the Amenity Space Exclusion Policy as stated in the City's Development Intensity Manual revised May 1990.
