Reso 4813 Heart of the City Specific Plan Amendment CITY OF CUPERTINO 10300 Torre Avenue Cupertino, California 95014 M RESOLUTION NO. 4813 OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE HEART OF THE CITY SPECIFIC PLAN BY ORDINANCE TO DEFINE THE ALLOWED LAND USES AND MAXIMUM BUILDING HEIGHTS ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND 1N THE SOUTHEASTERLY QUADRANT OF STEVENS CREEK AND DE ANZA BOULEVARDS IN AN AREA COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE CITY CENTER AREA SECTION I: FINDINGS WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Cupertino received an application for amendment to the Heart of the City Specific Plan as described in this Resolution; and WHEREAS, the necessary notices have been given in accordance with the Procedural Ordinance of the City of Cupertino, and the Planning Commission has held one or more Public Hearings on this matter; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that: 1) that certain amendments to the text of the Heart of the City Specific Plan are necessary to maintain consistency between the specific plan and City Center planned development zoning, application no. 2-Z-83 with subsequent modifications and amendments and these amendments are described in E�ibits A-1 and B-1; and 2) the proposed changes in land use will promote greater pedestrian activity at City Center which is a goal of the General Plan and Heart of the City Specific Plan; and 3) the specific plan amendments described in Exhibits "A-1" and "B-1" are consistent with the Cupertino General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That after careful consideration of maps, facts, exhibits, testimony and other evidence submitted in this matter, the Heart of the City Specific Plan Amendment, is hereby recommended for approval and That the subconclusions upon which the findings and conditions specified in this Resolution are based and contained in the public heaxing record concerning this Amendment to the Heart of the City Specific Plan as set forth in the Minutes of Planning Commission Meeting of February 10, 1997, and are incorporated by reference herein.
