OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO ADOPTING AN
AMENDMENT TO AMEND THE GENER.AL PLAN LAND USE AND HOUSING
ELEMENTS SPECIFYING THAT
THE 500 UNITS ALLOCATED FOR THE VALLCO PARK AREA BE INCREASED
TO NO MORE THAN 560 UNITS TO ACCOMMODATE APPLICATIONS 14-U-96 AND
15-U-96 IF NECESSARY, WITH UNITS TO BE TRANSFERRED FROM THE
UNDESIGNATED CATEGORY

SECTION I: FINDINGS
WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino received an application for a General Plan Amendment as
described on this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the necessary public notices have been given in accordance with the Procedural
Ordinance of the City of Cupertino, and the Planning Commission has held a meeting to consider
the granting of a General Plan Amendment hearing; and
WHEREAS, the General Plan land use and housing elements to be amended are as shown on
Exhibit A; and
� WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered the potential environmental impacts of the
project and found they were not significant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That after careful consideration of maps, facts, exhibits, testimony and other recommended for
approval; and
That the subconclusions upon which the findings and conditions specified in this Resolution are
based and contained in the Public Hearing record concerning Application 4-GPA-96 as set forth
in the Minutes of the Planning Commission Meeting of November 12, 1996, and are
incorporated by reference as though fully set forth herein.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CUPERTINO APPROVING APPLICATION 4-GPA-96, GENERAL
PLAN AMENDMENT TO AMEND THE GENERAL PLAN LAN D
USE AND HOUSING ELEMENTS SPECIFYING THAT
THE 500 UNITS ALLOCATED FOR THE VALLCO PARK AREA
BE INCREASED .
TO NO MORE THAN 560 UNITS TO ACCOMMODATE
APPLICATIONS 14-U-96 AND 15-U-96 IF NECESSARY, WITH
LJNITS TO BE TR.ANSFERRED FROM THE UNDESIGNATED
CATEGORY
WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino initiated an application for a General Plan
Amendment as described in this resolution; and
WHEREAS, the necessary public notices were given in accordance with the
procedure ordinance of the City of Cupertino and the City Council has held at least one
public hearing on the matter; and
WHEREAS, the application, No. 4-GPA-96, requests to amend the general plan
land use and housing elements specifying that the 500 units allocated for the Vallco Park
area be increased to no more than 560 units to accommodate applications 14-U-96 and
15-U-96 if necessary, with units to be transferred from the undesignated cate�ory.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ot' the City ot'
Cupertino that after careful consideration of maps, facts, exhibits, testimony and other
evidence submitted in this matter, the application for General Plan Amendment,
Application 4-GPA-96, revising the General Plan, is hereby approved; and that the
subconclusions upon which the findings and conditions specified in this resolution are
based on and contained in the public hearing record concerning Application 4-GPA-96 as
set forth in the minutes of the City Council meeting of December 11, l 996, and are
incorporated by reference as though fully set forth herein.
