Mrs. Hall pointed out the fact that Pol�cy 2, under Goal I ensures Pros and cor�s
periodic status reports. Discussion follo�-ed. Co.:�-�issioner of ar. ad hoc
0'Keefe felt that an ad hoc group to review what the Plan�ing co�^mittee

to the way a judge does. The City Manager said one ef the problems of .
t:�e Planning Commission is that they get overwhelmed with zoning matters �
and don't get enough time for actual planning. Director Sisk said he
foresees General Plan items a�pearing on :1ore of the Planning Com.-nission
agenda in the future. Co:�issioner 0'Keefe suggested the Planning
� Co�mission direct on? meetir.g annually to review just how closely we
are ad'nering to the General Plan. He does not see the need for a
conc�rned citizenry group.

what the general citizenry wants.
Policy 2 The City Manager said 'ne interpreted Policy 2 to say that anybo�� could

to consi�'er for upda�ing the Ge�eral Plan.
Polic}� 14 The City r4anager said, regarding Policy 14, we are i�zterested r�ore in
density of a given area t�an in populatiun, per se.

to the public or at leasr_ let the ru'�lic �cr.o�a t.�ey are available to
read. Per:zaps this could be so noted at the end of the pubiic notices
in the newspapers. T:zey could be made availabie f.or reading at Cit}7

neighborhoods". No determinations were made on this subject,

It was decided, after much discussion, to have these Rev�e�a meet-
ings on the t�Iednesdays after the Plannin� Ccrlmission �:eetings,

3. Assistant Planner Cowan said t�zere is a proposal from Los
Altos to have a Pet Ce�etery on Maryknoll Road, off Foothill.
The road is presently 60' wide. The Director of Public Worns
suggests a 72' section wit:z provisions for a turn�ng goc�et.
It was decided the Los Altos Planning Com*_nission should be asked to
consider tne r.iaximum width for t:Ze develop:nent in that entire area.
