OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
RECOMNIENDING THE DENIAL OF A PREZONING of 54 .7 acres
of County A1-40 to P(Planned Development) with an
R1C and R3 intent (Residential Single-family Cluster
and Residential Multiple-family).

ADDRESS: 90 East Gish Road, San Jose, California
SUBMITTED: October 16, 1970
LOCATION: Northerly and southerly of Stevens Creek Boulevard,
approximately 1600 feet west of Foothill Boulevard.
ZONE: County A1-40

FINDINGS:
1. Large scale development in the foothill areas shall not be approved
until completion of a master plan for the foothill areas.
2. The density proposed in the development is twice the permitted density
as shown on the current General Plan.
3. The development would require extensive grading of the site, thereby
being aesthetically detrimental to the natural beauty of the foothill
area.
4. The internal and exterior road, street patterns, and parking facilities
are inadequate to support the development.
5. The impact of the development upon the existing local schools and other
public facilities and services would be too great at this point in time.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd. day of November, 1970 at a regular meeting of
the Planning Commission of the City of Cupertino, State of California, by the
following roll call vote:
AYES: Commissioners Hirshon, Irwin, Meyers, Puetz
