A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
CONCERNING THE PROPOSED 957-SPACE MOBILE HOME PARK AND RELATED
FACILITIES ON PROPERTY OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC SEMINARY OF SAN
FRANCISCO AND THE ROMAN CATHOLIC ARCHBISHOP OF SAN FRANCISCO
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of
Cupertino on July 13, 1970 consideration was given to a request for a change
of zone and use permit to allow a 957-space mobile home park and related com-
mercial uses on approximately 159.8 acres of property currently within the
jurisdi ction of Santa Clara County; and
WHEREAS, the County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on
this matter at its meeting of July 16, 1970 the City Planning Commission finds
this to be an appropriate time to comment on the proposal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City
of Cupertino, in accordance with Resolution No. 2008 of the City Council of
the City of Cupertino adopted on June 15, 1970 and thereby establishing the
official position of this City on this matter, does hereby recommend that if
the County Planning Commission gives this request a favorable action the
following conditions be attached to the approval:
l. The developers shall install traffic signalization at the intersection
of Maryknoll Road at Foothill Boulevard, as approved by the County
Traffic Engineer.
2. Each stage of development of the mobile home park shall be subject to
review prior to its construction.
3. The occupancy of the park shall be limited to adults only.
4. An overall plan for the development of the church properties between
Foothill Boulevard, Freeway Rt 280, and Permanente Road shall be sub-
mitted and approved by the County of Santa Clara and the City of Cupertino
prior to initiation of the second phase of the development. An intensive
review of the plan's relationship to existing and proposed surrounding
land uses and the Cupertino General Plan shall be instituted.
5. The signalization of Maryknoll Road and Foothill Boulevard shall be in-
stalled as a part of the first phase of the development, and a secondary
access road to Permanente Road shall be installed as a part of the second
phase of the development. Said secondary access road shall be submitted
for approval as a part of the second phase of the development.
6. The Use Permit shall be subject to an automatic review at the end of
fifteen (15) years, or earlier if deemed desirable by the Planning Com-
mission, in order to evaluate the interim use aspect of the development.

of the City of Cupertino this 13th day of July, 1970 by the following
vote:
