GRANTING A USE PERMIT to allow construction of an.
archives research center adjacent to the existing
Marianists Province of the Pacific residence.

13. If in the future parking problems become evident due to the inadequacy
of on-site parking, as determined by the Planning Commission, the
Commission after public hearing may r-equire the property owner to
provide additiona� facilities.
14. Additional vehicular access from Madera Road shall be provided for
fire-fighting equipment as required by the Cent.ral Fire Distxict.
Improvements to said access road shall be provided as required by the
Public Works Department.
15. An additional source of water shall be provided for fire-fighting
purposes. The quantity, pressure and location of said source sha.11
be subject to the approval of the Central Fire District.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of February, 1970 at a regular meeting of the
Planning Commission of the City of Cupertino, State of California, by the
following roll call vote:

RESO.LUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
GRANTING A USE PERMIT
WHEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of Cupertino
received an application for a USE PERMIT,as stated on Page
2; and
WHEREAS the applicant has met the burden of proof required
tc support said application; and
Whereas the Planning Commission finds that the application
meets the following requirements;
a. Encourages the most appropriate use of land,
b. Conserves and stabilizes the value of property,
c. Frovides for adequate open space for light and air,
d. Permits adequate control of fires,
e. Promotes the health, safety and public welfare,
f. Provides for the orderly development of the City, and
g. Is advantageous to the property and improvements in
the zoning district and neighborhood in which the
property is located;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That after careful consideration of maps, facts, exhibits and
other evidence submitted in this matter, the application for
the USE PERMIT be, and the same is hereby granted, subject to
the conditions stated on Page 2; and
BE IT FURTHER RESULVED:
That the aforementioned findings be approved and adopted, and
that the Secretary be, and 7� hereby directed to notify the
parties affected by this decision.
