CALL TO ORDER
Commissioner Szeto called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm at Quinlan Community
Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road, Cupertino, CA.

MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS
Regular meeting: February 10, 2010
Ramachandran motioned to approve the minutes. Menon seconds. Motion passes

NEW BUSINESS
a) High School Dance planning update- Commission discussed and verified plans
for decorations
b) Commission recruitment discussion- Commissioners agreed that their
testimonial would be beneficial when introducing the idea of Teen Commission
to prospective students at local schools
c) WOW- update and discussion on colla'Dorating with other commissions -
Commissioners focused their attention on middle and high schools, continuing
to connect with appropriate staff to support a WOW or similar program during
Earth Week
d) Set a date for a teen -photo shoot at Teen Center- April 2, 2010; 3:00- 6:00 pm.
OLD BUSINESS
MISCELLANEOUS—NO ACTION REQUIRED
a) Roundtable discussion of Teen Center evaluation- Commissioners shared their
experiences of the teen center. They also gave suggestions for improvements and
changes.
b) Reminder about YAC Attack conference on 3/6- Commission is planning to
attend the YAC Attack on March 6, 2010; Commissioners were reminded about
the day's expectations
c) Share information about summer programs in Cupertino for teens- Parks and
Recreation Department programs such a.s, summer camps, volunteer
opportunities, and new classes were shared with Commissioners.
d) Share experience and comments of City Council presentation on 2/16-
Commissioner Samar and Sengupta sha:ed their thoughts and experiences from
the presentation to City Council with the remaining commission.

At 8:26 pm meeting adjourned to a REGULAR MEETING on
Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 7:00 pm.
