Analysis
Wall Signs
●Like other sign exception approvals throughout the
City.
●Entirely on existing canopy and food mart and are
well -proportioned to the scale of the structures.
●New wall signs are 46.9 square feet, below the maximum
allowed cumulative sign area of 200 square feet.
●Illumination of the signs does not exceed 250 foot-
lamberts.
Fuel Price LED Signage
●Like other sign exception approvals throughout the
City.
Findings
●That the literal enforcement of the provisions of the Sign
Ordinance will result in restrictions inconsistent with the
spirit and intent of the ordinance; and
●That the granting of an exception will not result in a
condition which is materially detrimental to the public
health, safety, or welfare; and
●That the exception to be granted is one that will require
the least modification of the prescribed design regulations
and the minimum variance that will accomplish the
purpose.
Recommended Action
That the Planning Commission adopt the draft resolution:
●Approving the Sign Exception application (EXC-2024-002);
and
●Finding the project exempt from CEQA.
Next Steps
Should the project be approved, the Planning
Commission's decision on this project is final unless an
appeal is filed within 14 calendar days of the date of
the decision.
