Speaker based event addressing entrepreneurialism and business. Pizza and Politics – Back this year in October. Happens every other year. Hosted traditionally with cities of Saratoga and Campbell. Three sections to the event. First Mayor’s Roundtable. Second FUSHD roundtable. Third student debate. Will have a Teen Commission moderator, likely the chair. Cupertino Café – Event in December. Used to be in December and May, but May had less participation so was stopped. This is an open hall study session with snacks and booth partners. Likely will be December 14. Spelling Bee – Starting in 2023, event was planned by YAB and moderated and judged by Teen Commission. Surveys from parents loved the format. HACK – Overnight hackathon. This year was the first year we charged for the event. Initially it was $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents. We discounted the fee to $5 and $10 because of low participation numbers initially. Want feedback on whether we should continue the overnight format.
