OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO APPROVING A
REQUEST TO REMOVE FIVE MATURE TREES AND REPLACE THEM WITH FIVE
FIELD GROWN COAST REDWOODS AND THREE 48 INCH BOX JACARANDA
AND MINOR RELANDSCAPING OF AN EXISTING OFFICE BUILDING LOCATED
AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF DE ANZA BOULEVARD AND LAZANEO
DRIVE (10275 N. DE ANZA BOULEVARD)
SECTION I: PROTECT DESCRIPTION

SECTION II: FINDINGS
WHEREAS, the Planning Com.mission of the City of Cupertino received an application
to remove four Liquid Ambers and one Japanese Maple and replace them with five field
grown Coast Redwood trees and three 48 inch box Jacaranda trees, as described in this
Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the applicant satisfied the following:
1) The five removed trees are sufficiently replaced with Five field grown Cost
Redwoods and three 48 inch box Jacarandas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That after careful consideration of maps, facts, exhibits, testimony and other evidence
submitted in this matter, application for Tree Removal is hereby approved as modified;
and
That the subconclusions upon which the findings and conditions specified in this
Resolution are based and contained in the Public Hearing record concerning
Application TR-2003-05, as set forth in the Minutes of the Planning Commission
Meeting of August 25, 2003 are incorporated by reference herein.

SECTION III: CONDITIONS ADMINISTERED BY THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT DEPT.
1. APPROVAL ACTION
Five field grown (14-15 feet tall, 6-7 inches calipers at the time of planting) Coast
Redwoods and three 48-inch box Jacarandas shall be planted in lieu of the five
removed trees (4 - Liquid Ambers & 1 -Japanese Maple). In addition, minor
landscaping revision to the existing office site consistent with the partial site plan
provided and a partial colored tree-planting plan submitted to the Planning
Commission on August 25, 2003 as exhibits. Except as may be amended by the
Conditions contained in this Resolution.
2. PLANTING SCHEDULE
The required replacement trees shall be planted by October 25, 2003 or prior to final
building occupancy clearance, whichever comes first. The City of Cupertino
reserves the right to use the $20,000 tree bond (submitted to the Planning
Department by Intero Real Estate Services on March 14, 2003) to plant the
replacement trees if they are not in place by the above said date. Planning
Department shall have the ability to make minor adjustments to the exact location of
the replacement trees.

Planning Commission of the City of Cupertino by the following roll call vote:
